Mitchell Multi-Purpose Health Service (MPHS) is located in the South West Hospital and Health Service (SWHHS). It is approximately 560 kilometres west of Brisbane and 87 kilometres from Roma in the Maranoa planning region.
A privately-run general practice is co-located on-site at Mitchell MPHS. The medical superintendent is also employed by SWHHS and is available for emergency presentations and outpatient services
